I’m pretty imjpressed and it seems that Kate as an IDE has more than enough of what I need.

If it supports LSP.. it’s more than enough.

I decided to give it a chance for a few weeks

I’m impressed form the very beginning

I actually began compiling vscode for FreeBSD (with ports option), then noticed there are 2 builtin ones: Kate and Kdevelop. GEtting kate up to speed with LSP and your favorite settings is just a click away in the settings;) Plus it’s lighter.
