Is alcohol ever good for you?
Some state that it probably protects against diabetes and aids your circulatory system. Nope. No health benefits. It’s actually a harmful drug. The myth that wine was healthy is because it contains some antioxidants. Which you’ll most likely have much more benefit from eating grapes. And no, minimize fruit juices .
In reality alcohol is a neurotoxin, it dehydrates the body, and it interferes with normal sleep functioning
Granted, because it numbs the thinking brain it can provide a mild sedative and give one more “courage” to do stupid things
Personal experience: I rarely drink beer and/or wine. Almost never hard alcohol. Always disrupts my sleep patterns if drank in the evening. In the morning/midday I’d want to focus
Alcohol for depression / drowning your pain
People use alcohol to hide the pain/depression/loneliness and forget about them. I’d recommend doing somatics and actually going to a trained psychologist or doing mindfullness
